Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy

Sometimes things don’t always go to plan.

If you’re worried that you might need to reschedule or cancel your editing package, you’ll find all the information outlined for you here.

So that we don’t run into any issues down the track, it’s always a good idea to familiarise yourself with these policies before booking an editing package.

Rescheduling Policy

I understand that unforeseen circumstances may mean that you aren’t able to complete your editing package at the time you originally booked.

The best relationships come from mutual respect. I request a minimum of four weeks notice of a rescheduling request. But the sooner you’re able to let me know, the better chance I have of fitting you into a new spot on my schedule.

Rescheduling requests are at my discretion, and dependent on my availability. I will do my best to accommodate your request, and most of the time, I am able to find a new time that suits us both.

Repeated rescheduling requests (more than three) may result in the termination of a project and the forfeiting of the booking deposit. No refunds will be issued if reasonable steps have been taken to accommodate the completion of the package.

Editing packages must be completed within 12 months of the contract start date, including reading over revisions. This is to ensure editing consistency and a productive workflow for all parties.

If you’re having difficulty completing your revisions, please get in touch. If you get sick and you think the file will be a little late, just let me know. Good communication is key to great relationships.

Rescheduling requests are usually possible, with enough notice. I promise, I don’t bite!

Cancellation Policy

Sometimes, a booked edit needs to be cancelled. While I’d be sorry to see you go, I understand.

If you need to cancel your project, please inform me in writing with as much notice as possible.

If your project has been booked in, but the edit has not begun, cancellation will result in the loss of your non-refundable deposit paid at the time of booking. If you are considering cancellation because you aren’t able to commit to the edit at this time, I encourage you to discuss rescheduling with me and we can look at adjusting when the edit occurs. I will always do my best to accommodate.

If your edit has begun please let me know as soon as possible in writing. Upon cancellation, your partially edited file will be returned to you (please note: degree of completion will vary). Your deposit will not be refunded, and depending on the degree of work completed on the project, a partial edit fee may be applicable.

If your edit has been completed cancellation is not possible after the edit completion date. Payment must be made for all editing work completed.
